Apple

Apple Inc has declared to take an event in San Francisco with invitations already reached to major media representatives. Though invitation suggested something new that can be “touched” is expected to unveil, event certainly won’t restrict “only” to possible release of next generation of iPad; iPad 3. Here is what we can possibly expect from Apple’s event to be held on 7th March.

When new hardware comes out of Cupertino camp, there is an associated software update. Thus, we can expect Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iOS software, to hold the stage for possible release of iOS 5 update. Currently, this new OS is in its first revision but still iOS 5.1 is not very mature. If next batch of iDevices is to be accompanied by smart assistant like Siri an announcement of major modifications. If iPad3 is to be really get released with rumored specs like faster processor and better cameras, certainly iOS 5.2 with advanced features can be expected at Apple’s event. So, a detailed keynote explaining new features of iOS 5.2 is expected.

Second major announcement can be associated with Apple’s little set-top box. Unveiled years back as “a hobby” by Steve Jobs, Apple Black, tiny set-top box is currently in its second generation. We can expect third generation of this compact device to get unveiled at Apple’s iPad event. It is expected to support Full HD playback along with Bluetooth 4.0 and some new input connectivity methods. If these rumors are to be believed, we can soon see Apple TV ruling market.

Another announcement can be expected to be associated with MacBook series of laptops. Apple can downscale 13 inch and 15 inch MacBook Pro models to thinnest and renowned line-up of MacBook Air. Intense competition created by Intel’s forceful strike in manufacturing thin ultrabooks can bring about major changes in notebook industry and event on 7th March can ring starting bells for this change.
